Flagship Studios Still in Operations

San Francisco, CA (July 14, 2008) -- Flagship Studios has announced today that despite rumors to the contrary, the company is still operating.
“It is with deep regret that I must announce that Flagship Studios has laid off most employees. However, the core management and founding team members are still at Flagship.” said Bill Roper, CEO of Flagship Studios. “The past five years have been an incredible experience for us, but unfortunately, we couldn’t sustain the size of the company any longer.”

Flagship Studios owns the rights to all its technology and IP, including Hellgate: London and Mythos. Due to the current situation, Flagship will not be taking any new subscribers for Hellgate: London, and all current subscriptions will not be billed.

Flagship wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to those that have supported the company and games over the past five years.

Good to hear but...that didn't clarify jack...sure they're operating, but for how much longer? And what's gonna happen to the players? WTF is really going on????

for a few devs...More info is to ocme but, what it looks like is they will keep servers going for like 1-3 months then either sell out and let another complany take it over or trash both games completely.


that announcement is pure BS imo and just a shitty PR move to shut everyone up for awhile. I have made my thoughts be heard on both mythos and HG forums and alot of the "Oh we are sorry FS good luck we wuv you blah blah" babies are not liking me right now. But to hell with them, I am in sales and marketing and know a PR announcement when I see one.

This one is saying in a nice way "We are in operation today but 2 weeks from now who knows, good luck to everyone and to the founders you got the shaft, sorry bud"

I completely agree man...pure bullshit. You know what's worse? I used up all my fg on HGL. So, if they shut it down, I'm very sure I won't have resources to go back to D2. They effing damaged me a lot...Didn't say squat. I'm never again buying a game that says "From the creators of Diablo 2", much less a game that says FSS...D2 was their WAY past glory. I mean what the FUCK, they worked for Blizzard, probably the most successful corporation in the game industry, and didn't learn squat from them? Releasing a unfinished game? WTF is that now, they're gonna sell us car without engines or with engines functioning bad?

They are doing it right with Mythos which has been in beta for over a year thats the direction they should have went with HG

Well I love HGL and its only improving from here. I was planning on subbing the day they removed the sub feature.

Im most curious as to what will happen to the sub feature, if they will make all sub content free for all, or if it will go back to normal. Either way, im dying to go to stonehendge.

Well, Tiggs said we're not being being charged while the feature isn't there...so it means subs got 1 free month it seems ahahahaha depending on how long this crap goes on...
Anyways, yeah Kulith...Stonehenge is amazing, I can't picture myself doing Ploughyard for drops nor exp.

this can be bad or good as far as the sub feature goes... they could make it free for all people or they could make subscription mandatory for online play to pay for their losses... if theyre screwing with subscription now theyre probably changing something
