Sub here aswell and it's worth it.

i took out my sub. back when the game was terrible.
game is getting better and im starting to wish i am subed. but i dont play as much so it doesnt matter to me. but i would love to go to stonehenge again lol.

so all in all. is it needed? nope
ill recommend this, play the game see if you like it. if you get hooked to it and want more then sub. dont waste your money if your not sure then end up playing it and not liking it.

Meh, Ima add to this a bit, I have yet to even get to level 15, I am still messin around with Diablo II LOD at the moment, so I have only gotten myself to level 7. After level 15 can you not advance further without a subscription?

Nono you can advance, subscription just enables Stonehenge, which is the best place to level up at any given level
