I run the game with everything on High, except no shaders, no anti-aliasing, no V-Synch, nothing special.

i got a 4200 + dual core and 2 gig of ram too..


my card is a 9600 geforce 512 mb, can play the game at any lvl whit maxed graphique whitout any problem !

Holy shit, 9600??? I thought the last one they developed was GeForce 8800 Ultra GTX, they are at the 9 series already?
If that's so I'm in luck, that means the price of 8800 will drop
BTW IDK if this influences in anything (I heard it influences RAM usage, not sure if it's true): My OS: Windows Vista 64-bit
Also, this is weird, yours have 512 mb, mine has 1GB of Graphics Memory, but 256 Dedicated Video memory.
I have no idea what means lol!!!!!! But if I'm not mistaken the 1GB is what is accountable...again, not sure!

8800fx series is totally different from 9 series.

8 is meant for hardcore gaming. 9 is meant for gaming/videos.

I would also get some more ram, Vista alone says it requires at least 2mb.

As a short term fix until you upgrade your hardware, try turning off weather effects, anisotropic filtering and turn draw distance down, that should help for now

That's what I do, run everything special like AA and weather effects off and model detail on High, but that's about it

I play on dx9 with all settings maxed on an 8800gtx/q6600/2gb ram

FPS never dips below 60, but a quick minimize and my resource monitor tells me that I'm using 90+% of memory.. (vista btw)

Hellgate is very memory-intensive.

But it's so expensive here in Brazil it's not even funny man
Just for a small example: with the amount of money you need to buy a 8800 GTX, you can assemble an entire computer, a lot better than mine!!!
