Nm is like diablo...you use your character from normal and of course it is harder...people usually enter nm around lvl 30

elite---u start a totally new character and its just a LOT harderr..theres more unique monsters and big groups

Also, in elite you sell items to vendors for half the ammount of money - making money is thus slower. You also recieve fewer components when dismantling items. Mobs hit a little bit harder, have a lot more health and there's more unique, rare and legendary monsters. Thats about it really.
