I just wondered if elite mode is like hell mode in diablo. Once your character finished the normal game, does he go to elite, or do you have to create a new character ????

You need to create a new character. Elite isn't that much harder actually, you get less money when selling things, less components when dismantling, and monsters have more life and are generally tougher.
