Ive tested for some days now how this game runs on different hardware, the reason i can that is iam a hardware tester so i got 3 rigs at home.


first the min Requirements


Below are the minimum recommended system specs for the Hellgate: London Beta. Please keep in mind that these specs are not finalized in any way, and only apply to the Alpha that you are participating in. Over time, as optimizations are made and the game nears completion, revised specs will be released. Thanks, and have a great time with the game!


* OS: Windows XP with SP2 or Windows Vista
* Processor: 1 .8GHz or faster (2.4GHz for Vista)
* RAM: 1GB or more (2GB for Vista)
* Video: DirectX 9.0c/10 compatible device w/ 128MB RAM or better and Pixel Shader 2.0 support; requires NVIDIA GeForce 6200/ATI Radeon 9000 chipset or greater

Wenn u start hgl it comes up with a add lookilike "Plays best on quad core" first lie, this game runs fastere on a c2d then a quad core ...... makes no sense at all

all test made in vista 64bit sp1 dx10


E6700@stock gives me avg 12x fps

Q6700@stock gives me avg 90 ~ 100 fps
ye big jumps here tests made alone ingame same places and remember its avg

next really funny thing is this game runs fastere on 1 gfx then Sli .....

wenn i disablet Sli it runs more smooth and gives me better fps ....

Me and some other friends of me sayes always the same =)
.. this game is on hardware side .. completely disbalanced. Quite sad for a new game like HGL

Oh, you're not the only one who asks about their design questions. According to something I read, apparently the little mini-icons of items are actually downscaled dynamically done versions of the full size pictures... which is why sometimes there's a brief delay in popping items and/or displaying items in stores or inventory. There's a wide variety of little wha... things that happen.

And yes, I do like the game (in general), and yes, I do have characters on all 3 servers as well as SP... but honestly. smile.gif
