I heard u dont need to subscribe anymore to be able to play elite anymore. Then I heard I had to beat normal once to be able to create a character in Elite but I do have beat normal and I still cant. Why?

you need to make a new character and select elite mode

Hmm but isnt there normal and normal nightmare and elite and elite nightmare ?

so normal nightmare should be beaten before you can select elite or how does this work ?

difficulty modes are broken down like this

Elite
-> Softcore
---->Normal
---->Nightmare
->Hardcore
---->Normal
---->Nightmare


Non-elite
-> Softcore
---->Normal
---->Nightmare
->Hardcore
---->Normal
---->Nightmare

if that answers your question
you only need to beat softcore normal non-elite one time to unlock elite/hardcore/hardcore elite, doing so will also unlock softcore normal nightmare mode for that character only

Complete normal to normal nightmare!
then make a new char and put ELITE mode on!
