post what i should put in my 7 socket and 6 socket legendary vorpal slashers

Get the other to a 7 slot as soon as possible.
Fill one up with shrapnel on hit mods, fill the other with nova on hit mods.
Preferably all 8+% chance.
Get a few decent +willpower mods if you need them.

If you're rich, it might also be worth having your f1 key with the setup I mentioned and your f2 setup with the shrapnel modded vorpal and an ignite modded vorpal.

does the ignite work with non fire dmg weapons?

It does if you put a fire damage mod in the weapon as well.
