An interesting read on how Maximum PC believes D3 will be delivered to us (Much much later). Also, some quibbles with Hellgate london and its subscription service. If you don't read Maximum PC they rated HGL a 5 out of 10, mainly because of the game lacking originality and the fact that they have a subscription service. I wonder how you guys feel about HGL and if you agree with some of the points Maximum PC makes? Alright, hope to hear some good replies!

i mean comparing mmo's to a non mmo (which hgl is) not an mmo.

i think games don't have to be liked or played just because of the hype, i mean i've played some alot of games, and i can say for myself that i only play the ones that i like.

hgl is still only a few months old, and the only reason it was released early was to get "development funds" to further patch things up, but i think its fair to do that, and to charge people its up to the company

one thing that blizzard and i do believe they will release d3, whenever maybe make sc2, release another expansion to wow, and then an "un-named" new title, and probably after that in about 4-5 years they might release it but that's pretty much all i got from that article about how, lame it is to rumor around about d3.

i agree blizzard would be the dumbest company in history to not release a cash crop like the new title for diablo series., (diablo 3 will be released but the question is when)

;;; as for hellgate london, this game doesn't really seem like a clone of d2 at all to me, it certainly has a feel of diablo, but not even close when it comes to gameplay and user interface, the whole server side games is completely different and i don't see how you can compare it to any other game in the name just to trash this game and it's community

Interesting perspective. I wouldn't say they were trashing any community, it was probably that they were expecting more out of the product (which can be a legitimate complaint). Some of the issues like originality of the content do stand out in this case because its core system is diabloesque. Now the pay to get some extra content might be a plus or negative I think its still too early for us to gauge (though again I can see how this would annoy some people). I guess what I am trying to say is there is some legitimacy to the complaints being brought up in reviews of the game.

Now D3 I don't see coming out for AWHILE simply because blizzard enjoys torturing me too much.

well put i think, this game rocks if you're bored with any other mmo's or Lod, i just don't see myself going back to play season after season of ladder system on d2, and other games i've played don't come close to how "related" i feel about playing HGL, it almost feels as a D3, but I know that it is completely separate and different in many aspects of gameplay.

i skipped out on buying a new PC, i am gonna wait until D3 comes out, this may be in the future some time but
i don't see myself playing any other title that blizzard has released in the past, nor in the future except diablo series
to me, they are all just boring as hell, but i've played d2 for nearly 7-8 years, off & on again. and that game is simply put "Platinum"

i would rate HGL as "Gold" now, but the game will change So much, especially with the new content on Jan 21st.


It will be surprising to see a D3 to be honest, because well there are just so many questions to be asked about it
Kind of the same deal with HGL, there is alot of aspects of game that I do not know, plus there is no "Reliable" & "Good" & "Organized" game mechanics explained, like the *Arreat Summit* had, with d2. I swear that page has 120% of diablo knowledge on it, and if you read it you would know everything to anything about Lod game.

with the HGL page, and forums. *It is actually nothing like this and, horribly put together which is why I tend to not use it as much, but meh
I figure they are just busy as hell upgrading and updating the game, they are putting this sort of things off to the side for now. I hope.

The new hellgate london patch comes out this monday. You have no idea what you're talking about.
