I love my evoker at lvl 44, kinda easy on your own but when in parties you really need drain life imo, unless you just sit back and let mm/guardians do the work but I prefer to fight.

Edit: Missed the best bit about evokers, the lighting effects are absolutely insane

Id say all classes have pro's and con's, just try em all, and stick with the one u like the moste..
just ask here for how to statt and skill whatever u chose, community might be able to help u

Theirs no such thing as a best class, not in this game not in any other game.

It all depends on your playing style.
And if a cookie cutter or a overpowered class is the "best" class, that all depends on your view on it.

For the cookiecutter way i would suggest a marksman, very easy to play with.
