Don't get too attached to your first character. Pick a class to choose, play with the skills a bit, and then restart. Nightmare gets tough, and your not going to want any wasted skill points.

Is this basically like an updated diablo II?

lol, diablo was a walk in the park compared to this.

I guess you can tell the makers of diablo made this game but these are two completely different worlds.
