I have a laptop with Intel core 2 duo processor (1.8ghz x2)/2gb ram/Nvidia GEFORE GO 7600/plenty of hard drive space that I play Hellgate: London on.

When a big group of monsters comes or I use a lot of spells at once, etc, it really slows down and starts to freeze up, and this is on the LOWEST QUALITY.

If it is on the highest quality then it lags if i do much of anything at all.

What do you guys have for your specs and does it lag it up at all?

BTW, THIS IS ON SINGLE PLAYER.

I play highest quality on my Athlon X2 2.200 with 256K video card and 3 GB ram, with no problems at all.

It might be the ram part since the game requirement is 2 GB, 3 with Vista. You're right at the minimum there.

256 GB video card

But I'm playing HGL on min settings with a 2 year old laptop that cost ~$1200 at the time I bought it, and it runs fine on lowest settings. I can even turn the settings up a bit, but then it becomes too laggy to play outside a station.

It's actually listed as 1gb with xp and 2gb with Vista on the Hellgate: London website. I do run vista though. Would you recommend buying more ram or downgrading to XP?

I'd suggest downgrading, as I've heard that Vista alone needs 2gb ram min, and 3gb+ recommended. Not sure on that though. If you like vista, feel free to upgrade the ram, as you'll need it eventually (unless you plan on never buying a new game ohmy.gif )

vista utilizes dx10 though, which I hear is pretty good for HG (though I would not know lol).

I wouldn't suggest downgrading. Vista is fine to run this game with, the only problem is that Vista uses up so much memory on its own that you need to buy more RAM. Spend the money to add another 2 GB of RAM to your computer rather than downgrading your OS. I think you'd be happier in the long run. smile.gif

Also check and make sure you don't have alot of background programs running while your playing the game, that will help alot.
