Hi Chief. Ok I just got back from Test Center, testing out raptors + homing shot. I remember I tested w/ raptors long ago, I believe pre 0.6, and I'm confident it didn't work back then. However, a guildmate asked me if that combination worked last night, and of course naturally I said no, cuz it didn't work months ago. But that was then...so just to be sure, I went to test it today for a guildmate. CHIEF ! I'm so excited again about my Favorite class...U wanted to initially make a Rambo-like MM? Well..how about running around just mowing down mobs with dual wielding 600/min raptors (or the higher lvl types) and having homing shot work !?! I'm going to make another MM now, with something similiar to what you had in mind...using raptors. OMG so fugging awesome. I always liked th gun..but never thought it was viable cuz of it's crazy recoil (or missile spread). But once it procs, all that won't matter anymore since it'll all home in on a mob!!!
Note: I did this test on St Paul runs. As you are well aware, there are many barrels, crates, and other things you can destroy there. When there are no mobs around, it'll target those objects...np right? But what happens when there are mobs around along with these objects? Well it all depends on the distance between you and the mob. I say distance because when homing shot procs...it'll go straight for approx 3-4m, then home on a target. So for example, you can shoot it 45degree angle up in the air, it'll continue it's straight path for 3-4m, then make a sharp angle and home down to a target. And I'm saying this because the more distance there is between you and a mob, the greater chance it'll target barrels and crates rather than the mobs. But it also seems to be quite random. Sometimes half will target barrels while the other half targets a mob, sometimes it'll just by pass the mob entirely and target a barrel.
