more ram isnt better than faster ram when you consider 667 to 800.

Your problem may be Vista, but not the way you think. Vista is a RAM hog. There are TONS of processes that Vista runs that you simply don't need. Try looking through them and closing ones that you aren't using, or don't use, or that simply aren't necessary. If you know jack diddly about computers, try going to http://www.pcpitstop.com/ and run the test for "Running Programs" or something similar to that. It will list all the non-system processes currently running, and will tell you what they are, and if you can turn them off. There is also a Full Test that you can run to get more efficiency out of your computer.

I have no problems at all with Vista and I've been using it since September so that would be ample time for me to find them.

some of my friends have problems and some dont.

one friend has no problems
another has a problem where WoW gets closed out of for no reason. i have seen it do many things to him. hes had problems downloading things and what not also.
guess it depends when you got vista.... i see more people that got it when it first came out have a lot of problems but people getting it now dont have many problems.

xp hasent failed me yet. though i am going to vista soon since there arnt many bugs out there and i wanna see hellgate in DX10. 64-bit (ive heard) has mucho problems.

besides that i dont see much of a point in getting vista besides DX10 for some games. not all games run in DX10 yet so im fine with xp. but like i said i will get it soon.

Vista's OS, and interface options require 2x of a normal xp/2000 system requirements to run anything. Ontop of that, most games that do not have a "Windows Vista" Tag, will require a specific game setting or administrative right to play.

I have 3 Computers with Vista. The xp runs so much better then these, and its atleast 2 years older. Ontop of that, When running in DX10, you need a really great graphics card+processor to make it even want to start.
