It's what I said before. Just because it has a name of a great game of the old days, doesn't automatically makes it "own". It's like labeling dirty muddy water as a coke product. It has the label, but it's not coke. People need to start understanding it. I didn't buy HG:L only because it was from the same makers of D2. I WOW'd at it when I saw the very first trailer. D3 didn't have that effect on me somehow. Repetitive bullshit IMO, a bunch of new people at Blizz who are failing at making a sequel that's been HEAVILY waited by the community. And just as Kulith said: the engine is finished. And the graphics do look like outdated crap, it doesn't beat HG:L with high-end GFX card, never EVER. Blizzard is failing since they released WC3. IMO WC3 was the last groundbreaking game they did after D2. The rest absolutely and undeniably SUCKS. SC2 has been just as expected as D2, and you see the stupid thing they did - put on hold for even MORE time. It's pathetic for a company to do that, announce something and then disappear.
actually WoW is their last groundbreaking thing. 7million people playing for a good few years now is pretty groundbreaking.
i dont mind the graphics im looking for gameplay and blizzard does a nice job at gameplay.

Im just saying there are more similarities between d3 and wow than d2. And, like I said, it follows wow's legacy of using outdated graphics. Have you played hgl? You've seen what dx10 and high end quality graphics are like? the d3 trailer doesn't even come close. And yes, those graphics ARE final. They've already finished the engine as you can see, or else they wouln't have been able to give us a gameplay trailer. So those graphics you just saw are final, and they fail. And you failed to mention the cinematic dialogue that rather pissed me off. Its exactly like wow.
Whether or not d3 is superior to the release trailer to hgl is kinda pointless. HGL and nearly all other games reveal their game way way way before the engine is finished and the game is even remotely playable. Usually they release things as they move forward. What blizzard did was unusual, even for blizzard. Look at sc2, they said they where working at it and then nobody heard anything more about that for ages. So its sort of a pointlesss and meanigless argument to make.
And gameplay/storyline? D2 wasn't known for its storyline, and neither is hgl. The only hope for d3 is to try to leech off the community hooked on d2 with promises of superior gameplay in order to sell copies.
ofc ive played hgl or i wouldnt be here. though i have not played dx10. im pretty sure i have not said d3 graphics own hgl. if i did thats my bad. im just excited lol.
i wasent trying to use the trailer as a point. i was using it because ita said the trailer was terrible.
ya you got me with the graphics. i still like them though.
cinematics yeah they do look the same. but i still love blizzard cinematics. i think they look great for games. we expect way to much for video games. and what blizzard does (imo) they make their games so you dont have to have beefed up comps to play them. wc3 doesnt require beefed up, WoW doesnt (compared to other mmo's now), d3 doesnt look like it wont. d2 doesnt need anything really. so i think thats what their trying to do. or you might be right and they are full of fail. theres only one way to find out and thats by asking them and i think they would say they are meaning to do that so they dont like bad lol.
im guessing you used story line as a point because i dont think i metioned it. blizz is trying to leech people by trying to give the game more of a storyline. because i think more people are coming to gaming looking for storylines. i think im not sure. i see more people then i used to.
i think we can all agree d3 is going to be successful selling copies wise. who knows about the gameplay since its not out yet only time can tell.
for me. nothing can stop me lol. im going to be playing d3 when it comes out hopefully its f2p. but its going to be a couple years. by then ill have a job and atleast a debit card so i could pay for it myself if i have to.
now for this which i think is needed....
i think i came on here like a total complete asshole. sorry for that. just way excited for the game and its been a good day. i saw wanted and d3 was announced so it was a good day. and i jumped on a huge d3 band wagon. so yeah sorry for being a complete asshole.
