Man, FSS is making themselves look so bad...they fix 1 bug, 10 more appear...they put something new, 10 more bugs comes with it...how could they ever made D2 the way they are?
Well sure, EA has a LOT of blame on this. Most players (myself included) believe the reason HG:L is considered crap and a disappointment in the gaming world (I don't agree with this, but it's the truth :/ ) is because EA made them release the game too early, around 70-75% completion. I dunno if it's the truth, but it sounds like it...I've never seen a game so bugged as HG:L is, and seeing what FSS guys did with D2 I don't believe it's their fault the game was RELEASED as incomplete, but it sure as HELL it's their fault that after almost an year the game still has so many bugs.

I know, but there's been what, 3 or 4 patches so far? And the game is still like that... :/
Meant the above post as in General, not only 2.0 :X Forgot to leave that clear ahaha
I seriously hope 2.0 brings some deserved dignity to HG:L

Ok so Stonehenge was a bug?
What about the couple events? Bugs?
No they have been mostly content/rebalancing patches, and just because D2 now refuses to rebalanced anything does not make it a perfect game by any means.

Yeah but you sure as hell don't get massive lag spikes as often as in HG:L. Battle.net NEVER had any bug while patching, while HG:L does, and most players did encounter this bug many times. The one where you get "Error: Error connecting to server", and after an entire hour trying to figure out wtf is going on, you go to their forums and see a post: "Oh, you gotta leave the text message there, don't click the checkbox", and another one "How to install the game correctly". A guide to...install a game and apply patches? HG:L is the first to have one of those. What about the bug where sometimes you "fall through" the map, right when you're about to finish an area?
Those are only a few, that I know of and have been through them, and they aren't news to the players who are playing for a long time. IMO, those should have been fixed a few patches ago since they are "old bugs".
Don't take me wrong, I love the game very much. It's just not a better experience because of minor/big bugs, and that's also the reason why the game doesn't have the success it deserve.

I guess you're unfamiliar with coding, but that's what happens. You change one thing and suddenly 10 other things are affected, which can cause bugs.
Stop trying to point the finger at EA. FSS and EA agreed on a release date, and FSS couldn't ship a finished product on that day, so they shipped a very bugged product, all of those bugs are gone now.
What bugs are you still seeing in the live servers anyway?

Only 4 patches?
Seeing as we've already had 4 patches for 1.3 then you're talking complete and utter shit.

I agree with bubba on this.

Too bad your opinion is meaningless mr 40%. Re-read my above post, I mention 2 very annoying bugs that happen way too often. If you want to keep telling yourselves (you and bubba) that the game is perfect the way it is, fine do it, I couldn't care less, and I'm quite sure you guys don't give a flying fuck to what I think either. I'm not going to be an asshole just to prove a point, so I'll just stop posting after this, it's not like I'm gonna win money for arguing with you both, so let's just drop it. We are a very small community on JSP, and it's no good if we start behaving most of the people on D2 forums.
And yes, I am unfamiliar with coding, but that's no excuse to have a game not work right. Can't even compare these, but was HL2 released with any bugs at all? Any game crashes? CS:S? Maybe they were, but they were quickly fixed, and these fixes didn't bring 10 more bugs for each time they fixed.
Let's just drop it, like bubba said, it's not a patch that was released on the live servers with bugs.

you both make great points but im going with itadaki. FSS has taken a long time to fix their bugs. at first i was ok with it but i ended up quitting the game because of the bugs and how many things were still needed in the game for me to be interested. Age of Conan came out with a great release. yes some things are still buggy but its their release it hasent been out very long and they are making 2 patches a week now to fix everything. much faster then what it took FSS to fix all their bugs. now an upside to all of this is HGL is online so they can fix everything and the game has a lot of potential to be a great game but it hasent met everything (imo) that was said it was going to meet.

theres my 10 cents.

Oooo Age of Connan!!! I pm'd you some questions man! I'm thinking about playing it, I'm not sure how much $ it is/month. But I also have no idea if my comp can run it :X
EDIT: I also forgot and have to mention this: People were discussing at the Chat channel in-game, how everyone says "Ohhh HG:L is a great game, has a good potential, and when the game is completely done without any bugs, it will OWN!!". Someone simply said: "Everybody has been saying this for an entire year, and the game isn't even nearly close to be completely bug-ridden/patched/done." It's been an year. Face it, the game should have been completed and bug-ridden a long time ago. For example: IN THE RELEASE???
This extra content? Like Stonehenge and Abyss Chronicles? It's simply a "forgive us for having the game still this buggy after an entire year, missing contents such as PvP and a lot more stuff". And also a marketing strategy, to keep people from stop playing the game. Let's face it: would you guys still be playing if Stonehenge Chronicles weren't released with new content/areas/different battlefields from the 4-5 that we have in the quest parts/bosses/way to level faster?? I wouldn't. Not mention, very few people would subscribe if there weren't any extra content, or the extra content was released to non-subs as well.
I am a subscriber myself, have massive fun with the game, but I'm not 100% satisfied. The extra-content is the least they should do as a "forgive us".
