I built my pc myself for about £500 here is it's spec:

AMD X2 6400 Black edition CPU
4gb 667mhz pc5400 ram
250gb hdd
Evga 8800gt GPU OC
Thermaltake 600w PSU
Vista Ultimate x64

I can run hgl and photoshop and 10 windows of IE and 10 pages of opera and msn and run utorrent and watch a film and alt-tab in a split second, tell me your pc doesn't suck? You wasted some serious money there

Edit: How do you know hgl is a shit game if you havn't even got to play it yet?

yeh alienware find ways to increase the prices, ie the case is probly worth $50..

i just got a cooler master cus it was cheap.. i dont think of it as a "case', its a box that u put ur computer parts in. a box.

I have vista, and the game works fine. MY laptop runs it even. IT's a toshiba, not that I would -ever- recommend anyone else buy one. There was no driver support in the bios for the video card it came packaged with


Either way, if you search the forums for like, 2 minutes, you can fix any problem you're having. What -really- helps though, in most cases, is playing it windowed. You can't even tell it's windowed, it's really nice, and fixes almost all the problems. Try it man. Hellgate is a lot of fun.

I know it's bad ram but it's the max my motherboard will alow, thought it more important to upgrade my cpu and gpu first but I'd say "pretty bad ram" is a bit harsh, only cost me £60 for 4gb of it, cant go wrong at that price for that much ram
