Care to explain damage mods multiplying elemental damage?
damage = base_damage * rate_of_fire * (1 + elemental_damage) * [1 + damage_multiplier + crit_chance*critical_damage_bonus] * (1 + RoF_Bonus)
the pure damage mods (ie ones that say increases damage by x%, not elemental ones) increase your base damage, which, as you can see from that equation, is then multiplied by elemental damage.
Also, crits can possibly bypass defence, which means a lot more damage than you'd think.
