So, would you say it would not be wise to get this game if you are looking for people to play with?

I am trying to get this forum active for it again.


There are a lot of people who are starting again online.
Just need this active side of it popular.

oh, there'll always be some people to play with. from what i've picked up, the hellgate community is praized to be helpful and nice, overall (personally, i can't compare it to other online gaming communities though - just makes me wonder how sh*tty it must be to play those others :D). so, ya, that's not the problem. it's just not a huge player base, but definitely always some hardcore hellgaters around who don't hesitate to provide advice for builds, items, farming, leveling etc.

the big problem for this game is the very bad company that... let's call it... "runs" this game. no updates, no support, no caring about players. it only got worse the last months, culminating in the dps-pet not added to cash shop after they dropped cash shop cycling entirely (yes, this means, currently, you're missing one item for lategame dmg optimization for dps characters newly created).

if you can cope with t3fun's way of (not) dealing with the game though, it's still worth playing.

well tbh if I can't find someone to buy Evo gear from or Palla from shortly
I won't be playing lol


I am not wasting time on that game to not find it for trade.

I'll just go back to dragon nest which is honestly better anyways

well, may i ask, what to play for, if you get all the cool stuff instantly? to my understanding, hellgate always was all about lategame optimization.

personally, i'm taking a break currently because upgrades have become insanely hard to get (as in, require a huge amount of luck and/or paladium) and there's nothing much to go for by now. seen all the runs countless times and so forth, it's gotten dull (been actively playing for like almost the whole time rly).

evoker stuff is pretty high in demand. gl finding someone who's selling ;| especially on here.
i couldn't even get some backup demon ccm/cdb + 4% ele relics in the end, not even for really good offers. not enough people farming anymore, and everyone having an alternate evoker character :(

and if T3fun *company who runs game* shittiness doesnt deter you, the shitty ass nanoforge system will deter you

i for one have quit the game exclusively because the nanoforge is bullshit. and requires hundreds or Thousands of dollars spent in the cash shop to get anywhere GOOD.

not really true.
most anything in the game is conveniently farmable in the +6 to +8 range, depending on class.
the only exception is darkan, but currently noone can beat him, so there's still no reason to go past +8 on anything, other than epeen purposes.

having said that, i agree. the nanoforge s*cks cownipplez.

thought about playing again. read this thread.. then rememberd how i was walking trough a tunnul that suddenly ended for it to continue again on my map but not one way towards it.

yea i could beat him while i had a +12 , but since i got TOO ballsy and tried again

no way im ever gonna pull that off again, fk it done now, not worth the pain of trying again.

one exception, you NEED To go past +8 as a marksman
as far as being a marksman, +8 guns are Mediocre anyways
UNLESS you have the best augs possible... (which is even more painful, stupid augmentrix will make u broke MANY times)

u need +10 or better to do really good dps as a Marskman, or to "Compare" to classes like evos which make Fucking hell mobs look easy, wheere as marskmans damage is shit until +10


and its VERY VERY Hard to get +10 withotu spending at least HUNDREDS of $
