You're right, it's still alive, it's just all the posts there are from people bemoaning how the game is being run into the ground. Maybe if you'd read the posts you'd have understood that.
I'd attribute the death of my site to something much simpler, the lack of a community, both because it's already spread thinly across multiple sites and because the game has too many problems to attract many new players.
New content? What's the point? Without any bug fixes, people won't give a shit, because they won't be able to play the game properly.
