Well, yeah, the same dudes who made D2 made HG:L, and they own their own business now (FSS), so, if you're expecting D3 (if it EVER comes out ofc) to be as good as D2 was, you're screwed because it won't be the same people making the game.

Well guys did u read the news? supposedly diablo 3 is goona be announced this saturday or sunday on WW1 in Paris? What do you all think about that ? Blizzard allready released few teasers. Load of crap or real deal?

Loads of crap. This was posted at the FFS forums as well. It won't be the same thing anyway, they will probably charge monthly for it, not to mention it won't be the same dudes who made D2. I highly doubt D3 will ever come out. What would the history be? Tyrael possessed by Baal? All the soultones were destroyed but Baal's one. If they make Tyrael be possessed that would be pathetic, just a repeat of what happened at D2. Historywise that is, can't say multiplayerwise

Yea i was actually wondering the same question what would be the history, how would the game continue if the soulstones were destroyed at the hellforge, but people can come up with all sorts of things so i guess we will wait and see.

right before baal died he spawned thousands of evil minions in the island of kukar ( ACT 6 ). They hold Baals soulstone. You have to cross through the worldstone chamber into the islands where you will find a series of evil raptors enchanted with fire, light, and cold. As you make your way through the act, you have to face new villians such as Azmodan, Lord of sin, and Belial, Lord of lies.

Didn't read rest of thread but HGL is not D3, d3 will be announced this Saturday (quote me on that). While it is made by the same developers as d2, there are too many design flaws for this to truly be d3. This is, however, as close as you can get for the moment (unless you are in the Mythos beta). I quit playing this simply because it was not anywhere near as captivating or entertaining as d2.
