yeah if you are going to upgrade, you might as well go for high-end to be able to use high settings
the high settings graphics are amazing, while low settings is depressing

it also wouldnt hurt to throw in another gig of ram

As for video settings go, I had mine all on high on DX9. It looked like shit compared to when I put everything on low or off.

When it was on high, everything had nasty colors and there was a big brown light haze over the whole screen.

When I turned it all to low or off, it looked better, and my FPS went up about 60.

vista has dx10, which is nice.

8800 ULTRA if u going to spend 1k$ why not spend 1.250$ ? ^^

or if u dont want to buy a brand new video card , go into options and change the setting to low or off on all, ur fps will be low but it wont be choppy

3,4 / 2 gig of ram is hardly enough if u have a decent graphiq card.
