what will happend with the LifeTime Sub ?

class action lawsuit? or request a full refund.

I remember Asheron's Call 2:Fallen Kings had a class action lawsuit brought against Turbine Games for closing down the game. They wouldnt even give out the code to host a server to a few companies who said they would be glad to host it. But turbine claimed it was a copyright issue due to thier game engine.

So a bunch of people who bought the game and paid for subscriptions filed a class action lawsuit as they now paid 40 bucks for a game they could not use anymore. So its just a suggestion.

class action against who exactly?
FSS no longer exists and any debts are as dead as the company.
it is a shame that others can continue with the game yet do not have to honour our life time subscriptions.

...not to mention you got what you paid for; subscriber access for the life of the game.

that may be true but probably not.
namco owns hellgate london for the US and japan ect. (possibly australia) since they are currently paying out of thier own pockets to keep the servers up and running then they may at some time re-release the game.
it very well may be a case of previous obligations that force them to keep the servers up but maybe they want to take the game some where at a later date. if the latter is true then my life time sub will be totaly useless since namco only inherrited the game and not fss's debts.

The best news would be that they are letting the game die in its current server form in order to free themselves of the lifetime sub obligations, and we'll have a new HGL online in february
