ok i just bought this game and installed it but when i load it to try and play it dosent load it just goes to a dark gray screen like on diablo 2 before the cinimatics play and i have to do crtl + alt + delete to get back to my desktop

do u have any advice on how to fix this?

it sounds like your video drivers need updated or downgraded in some cases . whats your card? and always* remember to install Video drivers properly*

no, on d2 i hit the icon and the screen does dark for like a second and then the cinimatics play and i can play the game but this 1 just stays at the dark screen.

how do i tell wat card i have? and if i need to upgrade or not

go to control panel > system > hardware > device manager > display adapters

that will tell you what you card you have


it also could be the resolution you trying to run hgl in ? what are running it at?

get a better graphics card. That should probably fix your problem.

yea that gfx card is eek i suggest nivida (8800gt) but ofc you can get little lower ,,, research my man ,, for prices and ***important that you look at your motherboard and your power supply so that if you do get a new card it is all compatible with your current setup ... i suggest using newegg its the best site for buying electronics

TBH if the intel 82865g came with the com, Im willing to put money that the com wouldnt be able to support an 8800gt = /. I would say its about time you upgrade ur system
