i play guardian and i dont use shield attack at all, only sword attack. I got questions: is BM tank like guardian ? BM kill things faster then guardian ? should i use my shield attack skills on Guardian ? BM better in PvP then guardian ?

My play style is More dmg more health. Whats better for me ? BM or Guardian

guardian makes lower dmg with the sword
but has good use with his shield
also he can heal himselfe and has more auras

blademaster can have 2 swords and makes more dmg and hase more skills for the swords

mail the item to the char

or wait till 1.3, if you're a sub u can just toss it in the other char's invo

What level is your guardian? You'll soon find shield turn is a very useful skill, especially if you find a good phasing shield.

Basically a guardian is generally a very good tank, while a BM hits hard, but is very, very fragile (too fragile at the moment)
I'd say stick with the guardian for now, if you still find yourself not making the most of the guardians skill set by level 20 or so then by all means change to a BM.


SoR guards can still hit pretty damned hard, just use anchor, shield turn (to stun and possibly phase mobs) and hit away with SoR untill everything is dead.

I've gotten all the way through the game without using the shield skills

You keep aura of renewal on at all times, and use the phase skill just prior to attacking obviously. I equip a Keeper of the North Star shield, which has +1 skills, and a sword. I have the sword attack on left click and the Prayer Of Retribution on right click. I keep AoR on one of the number slots so I can make sure it's active. it has a glowing kind of effect that shows it's active, and sometimes you have to re-start it.

I keep Sword of Reckoning on the E key so that I can hit it when needed, like a boss or rare / epic / high hitpoint monster.

I only use Anchor when I get into a huge mob.

How effective is level 10 PoR near endgame? I'm considering restating my guard to a SoR, PoR and AoP build and a high chance to phase would go a long way.

Imo the Guardian and Blade Master are about even for me because I dueled my Blade Master friend and we were the same level and I beat him 3 times and he beat me 3 times.

Running through Stonehenge areas it phases maybe half the time? (where the monsters are co-level or 1 to 2 levels above)

Hmmmm, might give it a try, worse comes to worse I'll always get a reskill token for being a sub player.

You dont get reskill tokens unless the char itself is revamped in a patch
