the songs are pretty good actually
As for the translations , i'm pretty sure you won't be able to find something in the art of lyrics , as this is a story told on music.
The first song basically talks about Corbea , an outlaw (our version of Robin Hood ) , and him getting in prison while still relatively young. His mother went to talk to him in prison through the window bars , and Corbea's wish was that his mother would do the Easter custom here , and pain eggs , in red , and give them to whoever , and cry his death.
Last part is about his mother going to talk to the Land Lord (we didn't have a president at those times ) about his case , but at this point, Corbea seems to be old already
As i said, this is a first audition summary.
the 2nd song is called the Leader's song
It's all about the former Romanian dictator Ceausescu and the conditions people were having during his time , regarding electricity , food, clothes and all the living means . So it's basically criticism to the way things were in those times. The song ends with a short description of December's 1989 riot (revolution ) that was started by the students in a city in the west of Ro , Timisoara .
