I just started playing and am trying to figure out a few things.
Like where the crap do I get sunstones?

Would also like to get some perin and penya to actually be able to buy/make gear.

private servers are gay longstory short.

get yourself to azria do mobs there. honestly it's so easy to get a ton of moonstones/sunstones/penya just from there. aoe is always best. i'm an aoe merk ringmaster, azria is always my favorite place for stocking up.
