Greetings and apologies for the delay in getting this post up. We understand that a number of players from various parts of Europe (and possibly Russia) are experiencing difficulties logging into either FlyFF or the website, or even both.
FlyFF is not the only gPotato game affected by this issue, but we have determined that there is a problem with our ISP and various ISPs throughout Europe. We have already contacted and discussed the problem with all service providers involved but unfortunately we are unable to expedite a resolution as it is up to these companies to resolve whatever it is that is causing the problem.
Thankfully, for now there is a workaround and fix that will enable all individuals affected by this to be able to access the game and the website. As has been discussed in this thread: LINK
You can simply reconfigure your DNS in your network settings to allow you to properly connect. Credit to _nyko and bladefast for originally recommending this.
For instructions on how to do this, please visit the following links:
For Windows XP users: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305553 (Follow steps 1-5)
For Windows Vista users: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... p-settings (follow steps 1-3, and 6)
For Windows 7 users: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... P-settings (follow steps 1-3, and 6).
For any of those OS's you will want to make sure that you are NOT automatically obtaining a DNS server and instead setting it up so that you are "Using the following DNS server addresses" with your primary and alternate DNS to be 216.231.41.2 and 199.166.31.3 or (if that doesn't work) you can use 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220This fix should work for all users who are experiencing this problem. However, if you are still having issues, please let us know by emailing us at flyff@gala-net.com
