Title says it all, I'm new to the game, just installed and staring at the choose server screen, any tips for a new player would be very welcome. Also is there a server that most jsp people are on?

There's not really a "server most jsp people are on" because it's fairly spread out and not much jspers use flyff section anymore. I would recommend the Lawolf server because it's one of the most populated flyff servers, but if you're interested in pvp or whatnot the server Demian is a pvp focused server and it has a 2x exp and drop rate.

As far as classes go choose the one that most interests you and ignore what ANYONE says because they all have biased opinions. Just remember the FF in FlyFF means For Fun.

Oh yeah and I don't have to explain it now but google Flyff Contribution party. Essentially you gain more experience when you're in one of these parties with a partner in the same map.

Well I wouldn't say that any of them is easier to play since only money makes a difference and they all pretty much cost the same.

But if you could classify if you prefer AoE or 1v1

For AoE
Knight - High defense and Hp
Ranger - High block rate
Psykeeper - Can wield a shield pretty much it lol
Elementor - has Windfield which decreases run speed by 50% usefull for hit and run aoe (kiting)
Billposter - Can wield a shield and self-buff

For 1v1
Blade = Easiest to achieve non-skill based (Normal attacks) high damage due to the equips
YoYo Jester, also has a nice pvp skill called HoP
Billposter, has the strongest skill in the game called Asal and the abilities to self-buff. Also has a very useful stun buff which is great for gianting (mini-boss hunting).
Bow Jester, has long ranged maxed crit chance normal attacjs. Gains no skills from jester class because jester is a yoyo class but people use a bow build because the jester class gains 4 crit every 10 dex while all other classes gain 1% crit each 10 dex. Very easy to giant hunt with this class.
All the mage classes aren't too good on PvM 1v1.

If you're really really need advice on best beginner class then I would choose for 1v1 Billposter or yoyo jester. Blade 1v1 is best in the long run but overused and a bit more expensive.

For aoe I would go with Knight or Ranger, OR Billposter for high versatality and variety.

E:Sorry I was still typing stuff but I gtg now so i'll be back.

Lol, thanks for all the info. when you get back, now that i've started playing I have some more questions :D.
Is there a faster way to pick up monster drops besides clicking each and every item?
do skill points as a vagrant go over to the next class (aka i should save them for class skills) or can i only use those skill points on vagrant skills? is there a way to reset skill points and attribute points?
what should I put my attribute points into if i'm going to be a yo yo jester? what about a billposter?
and to clarify the bow jester a bit, the bow jester is really a yo yo jester but people use bows on them because they have a high crit to dex ratio?

I think thats it, il prolly think of more questions by the time your back :D Oh and my in game name is Drethin, im on Lawolf

There's a pickup action you can put on your hotkey bar, you can goto the action window by pressing O. Other than that cash shop pets auto-pick up for you.

Every skill point can be used for any job advancement, vagrant skills aren't worth it. So yeah save them.

For builds it depends on equips.
For yj the cap dex you want is 90, the rest into strength. This is for PvM, when you get high enough level to turn into a pvp build I think you'll know what to do by then seeing as how you get your first pvp yoyo at lvl 105.
Your main yoyo will be the Hyoyo lvl 75 (Historic yoyo) and your end game PvM set will be called the restra set. You get your second best armor set at lvl 45 called the cruiser set. These sets are green equips and they act as they would in diablo 2 set items.

For a Bp the cap dex you want is either 80 or 98, rest into strength again. Your only useful 1v1 sets are the lvl 15 set and the lvl 105 sets.
The reason you cap your dex at these are because of the speed breakpoints.
For both of these classes, your PvM weapons are ones that add Adoch (additional damage of critical hits). But just use normal NPC weapons until level 60.

This page will be helpful http://flyff-wiki.gpotato.com/index.php/Main_Page

Yes the bowjester (bj) is the yj using a bow for the crit advantage. But, in the end the bj is at a disadvantage because of "Ultimate weapons" highly upgraded weapons that can only be used by it's certain class. So ultimate bows can only be used by rangers not jesters.
Most bjs restat and use yoyos again.

Also, remember this when deciding your builds. ALWAYS minus 20 dex because you have to take into account the cannon ball buff that adds 20 dex.
And dont forget to minus dex that equips add. Once again refer to this page and look through the equips http://flyff-wiki.gpotato.com/index.php/Main_Page

Your main jewels are going to be Vigor rings, Demol Earrings, Gore necklace. When you get rich arek rings will be useful.

As a beginner I would follow this guide to make money http://www.flyffworld.com/forums/t21461/
Each Plug +9 sells for 45m-50m (Plugs are earrings for AoE classes)

Also, there's items that reduce the lvl requirement for your equips. Red B -5 levels go for 80m, Red A -10 levels go for 120m.

Oh yeah use the "Buff Pang" npc in town, its a penguin and it gives you long lasting buffs, This npc can only be used until lvl 60.

I don't know what else to say because I kinda lost track lol, anyways being as nice as I sometimes am i'm going to give you some starter equips and stuff lol you'll really see the difference. Try to find the Post Box because im mailing stuff to you.

If you have more questions just pm me.

Yeah I know that blades can Aoe, but they aren't AoE focused like the others.
