When downloading Flyff which file(s) do you click on to d/l it? Just one, or all of them? Let me know, thanks. smile.gif

what do you mean? there is only one file, or are you talking about when you click to download, the site brings up a lot of different links? they're just different places to get the same file, just choose any of them

is this the first time you have downloaded and played flyff and first time it's lagged?
try not to have any unnecessary programs running in the background so make sure to close them down before starting (msn etc), do not have anything downloading (on any pc in your home) it will cause lags. try using on server 4 where the least characters would be to avoid all the mass clutter of people in main towns spamming and shops.
i never get lag with my latest pc unless someone in the house is downloading, then it gets unplayable, but on my old pc i got the lag every day, was still very above playable but was just annoying, going on the less crowded servers helped a lot

yeah this is the very first time. i'm on a laptop and it's pretty unavoidable to have no other pc's running in my house bc my dad and sister are on theirs.. i may have had like msn in the background, but i'll try again and see if there's anymore lag. smile.gif

it's ok to have other pc's in the house running, it's only if they have stuff downloading, then it causes lag. i have 2 other laptops running other than my pc.

oh, well what about if one of the computer's is always running a program in which to record t.v. shows? my dad's computer is never off b/c he's always recording shows or on the net. also, i am not for sure but i may have a little less than the minimum req's for the game. i'm sure i have the minimum on some thing but not all...

what you mean by recording the shows on the pc? if it isn't down or uploading it wouldn't effect it.
the requirements maybe the reall problem, the min req for flyff is 256ram, 64mb vga ram and recommended is 512ram / 256mb vga ram and few other things. i tried running flyff on a old pc with 64ram, no graphics card, it wasn't very playable, i played it fine for months on my old dell with 1gb+ram and no graphics card, just the occasional lag here and there, and now on my new pc 2gb ram / 256mb vram i rarely ever lag unless everyone else is and it's a server problem.

i think there is different kinds of lag in the game the would tell you if it's your internet or your requirements, if it's your requirements your screen and character will freeze and nothing will move until you come out of the freeze, if that happens a lot it's the requirements, if it's the internet then when logging in, sometimes you will get "cannot connect to game, please check your network", and when you are in the game everyone else will be able to move around you like normal but you wont be able to click/move/chat use attacks etc, that's the sort of problem that occur when it's an itnernet problem.
