He guys, I've been reading some interesting rumours, some which seem could possible be true. Mostly revolving around the release of the Nintendo nx this year, potentially with legend of Zelda? Wondering what you guys have heard? Your thoughts, or opinions? Nintendo has been very hush about it, however it would make sense to release a new platform, especially after the shortfalls of the Wii u.

There has to be a zelda game on wii u first, then we can talk NX

Well it does make a difference for me at least, because I don't want to buy a Wii u if a new platform which is more powerful is releasing in the fairly near future. Also, is there a problem with simply talking about potential future releases? Nowhere did I bash the Wii u at all, simply stated fact that economically, it was much less successful

There is speculation of a dual release, at least supposed "inside information leak" that seemed potentially credible

well Zelda Twilight princess was released for both Gamecube & Wii... so it's possible...

but then again with all the HD remakes all the good zelda games are on multiple consoles....


so Zelda Wii U on NX doesn't sound like such an impossible idea.... however it will definitely release first for Wii U then maybe NX and in the future HD remake 10 years from now.... LOL

meh, GC already had it's own zelda title (windwaker) though, and the wii got it's own as well (skyward sword)



if they just give up on a system because it's failing then why would you buy the next one if it might fail too? They need to give it a bit more life in the form of some mandatory titles like the legend of zelda.


edit: porting games tajes resources too, i think they should just release it on wii u and start working on a new title entirely for NX, if the NX is retro compatible with the wii u (which it really should be) the there is no need for Zelda U to come out on both platforms

There is no info on the nx being released this year atleast not from nintendo

One of the reason im still a nintendo gsmer is because of zelda

The one thing we can guarantee is that the NX is well into development, several developers have received dev kits (although Nintendo seems to be handing them out scarcely at this point)

given zeldas constant delays, there is a good possibilty that zelda will launch on wiiu/NX similar to twilight princess on gamecube/wii.


seems NX will have power similar to xbone (nintendo has been more focused on cheaper hardware to appeal to mass market for a while now so its no surprise).


Although I personally am not at all interested in a new nintendo console that is barely more powerful than the wiiu..really wish they wern't so scared of releasing a more powerful console at a higher price point.



Console shown off this E3 with a release this holiday is very probable, next year at the latest though for release.

So Wii U would be the first nintendo console to not get it's own Zelda title?
