thinking about picking up a new 3ds* (typod topic & said ds), or maybe even a 2ds, hmmm
I'd like to ask you a few general questions that I have, and any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Q #1:
which console do you own, and if it's the new 3ds, which color is it (sub question: which attracts less finger prints, red or black?)

Q #2: (primarily for new 3ds owners)
preface: I owned an original teal colored, small 3ds and i wasn't too crazy about the 3d. Hardly ever used it.
q: how do you like the 3d on the new 3ds and is it more than just a gimmick now?

Q #3:
which would you recommend? 2ds or new 3ds? If I decide that the 3d aspect of the 3ds isn't my cup of tea, am i better off getting a 2ds and using the remaining money to buy games??? :OOO

i regret selling my original 3ds and it's games, and i wanna get something to replace it! im just torn
I enjoyed playing my 3ds without the 3d, so teh 2ds is appealing, and so is the price tag, but for 80-100ish more i could get a new 3ds...

to answer your questions

I own the majora mask new 3ds.

Red should attract less fingerprints i believe. but wont be a problem if u purchase a hori glass case

the 3d is alot better now on the new 3ds. but however im not to crazy about it

I wouldnt pick the new 2ds. for a couple reason

the way its made you can't just close the lid and put it in ur pockets. or buy a travelling case for it. its bulky and you dont have much travel options with it

and from the looks of the 2ds it looks like its made from cheap plastic. and will break more easily.

Conclusion : i recommend getting the new 3ds. if you want to be the cool kid get the new majora mask one it looks very beautiful in my opinion and so much better then the red / black (more like charcoal)

Edit 1 : also the c stick is very helpful for controlling camera for such game as majora mask / ocarina of time / monster hunter 4 / smash / resident evil / and other games

only xenoblade chronicles 3d is exclusive, and it's been that way for months now, i'm sure more games will be n3ds exclusive especially after the announcement of unity for 3ds but it's still not enough to convince me "most new games" will be excusive to it

3ds and ds have a pretty big library of games
im here to play games, not wait an eternity for games to come out xD
i dont trust nintendo to deliver many new 3ds games, at least not for a long while, and by then an even newer 3ds or the next iteration will be out

besides, when i laid eyes on the crystal red 2ds i almost creamed... such nostalgia, such sex.

why would they bother supporting a old console?

the 3ds xl is like the wii.

and the new 3ds is like the wii u.

they'll prob continue to make a game or two for the 3ds xl. but eventually will stop. and just make new 3ds games.

Quite honestly. im not even disapointed it didnt include a charger. its more ecologic also think about all the wasted plastic it would of taken and how many users already have a 3ds charger. I.E about 90% of the people with a new 3ds didnt need a charger.
