I skipped the DS cycle and now I'm getting a 3DS. I'm looking for 3DS/DS games that have a bit of length and replay value, or just "must haves" in general. I'm open to any genre.

So far I'm getting Pokemon X and I have Megaman Zero Collection.

Fire Emblem Awakening
Shin Megami Tensei IV or any other SMT game really
Etrian Odyssey Millennium Girl (good entry game to the series)

Zelda: A Link Between Two Worlds.
Oh man. It's brilliantly made. Must have, imo.

Currently in the middle of two save files:
Main: 3 Heart Run, no tunic/damage reduction upgrades, no strategy guides.
Side: 100% run, never pass Main file in storyline.

Mario Kart 7 is the one that kept me playing the most... I'd say around 3-4 months of playing almost every day. The online mode is adictive.

Highly recommend the Zelda games, Super Mario 3D Land and Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Shin megami tensei: devil survivor overclocked (look for the overclocked version, it's like the original but with additional content and full voice over)
