I'm curious on if all the previous virtual console games that had released on the Wii are already available to purchase on the Wii u virtual console now. I am thinking they are only based on the fact you can transfer them via your Wii, but I could be mistaken. This sucks for me as I sold my Wii awhile back and would of loved to transfer my collection, but it's looking extremely grim so I was hoping to just hold onto my wii u and repurchase some classics.

Original cartridges are too pricey.

I'm picking up a Wii U today regardless, but I'm hoping ill be able to go on a shopping spree of classic Nintendo game this evening after work!

yes you can, you just need to open the Wii menu on your WiiU and download them if they aren't available on the WiiU eshop, if they eventually get a WiiU release you can upgrade for the WiiU version (which can have better framerate, bug fixes and gamepad compatibility) for 50cents iirc

my advice would be to wait until e3 is over, i dont think Nintendo is done making announcements for this week you should wait

Another quick question is about connecting online as this is the first time I've encountered something like this.

I am staying in a hotel for work for a few weeks and I have my wii u, but the internet requires a separate web page login on the internet browser in order to connect. I am not familiar with this at all in terms of what I would do to connect on my Wii u or if it's even possible at this point. Anyone have any ideas?

i'm not sure i get what the problem is, if they have WiFi you just connect your WiiU to their network and it should work.

They have wifi, but it wont connect because in order for it to connect on that device a web browser would pop up requesting I click login to proceed online. I can do it on a laptop and Iphone because it will pop up that prompt, but on the Wii u it will not.

It's exactly setup like a hotel, but basically free instead of paying a fee. I'll take a screenshot tomorrow to show you a more detailed view on what I'm trying to say.

The Wii U selection of VC games is pretty slim but if you have them on Wii you can transfer for a small fee when they are released on Wii U. If you are playing the Wii VC games from the Wii menu you need an old Wii controller + classic controller or classic controller pro.

if it's set up how hotel networks are generally set up, you will need to enter the wiiu web browser, authenticate to their system(agree to their terms etc) and then your wiiU will be allowed on the network
