what is the best way in your experience to play multiplayer N64 games through emulation?

modded Wii/Wii-U? laptop connected to TV? Xbox/PS?

i was a big fan of the modded wii, however, for multiplayer i would run it on a computer with usb to n64 adapters

It is against the rules to speak about third party modifications to any game/program. Emulators are considered to be such.
