Little disappointed about the load time issues I am hearing especially since there is still framerate glitches in a game that isn't exactly uber demanding.

Every major outlet has acknowledged it loads far too much for an open world game, and lacks off tv play.

Still, most agree it's got one of the best scripts in video game history, and is a quality Lego game (even if the formula is getting old) -- of course that's bound to happen with a game like Lego _____ as sooner or later the franchise will feel tired.

Anyway, lol'd @ Edge who said its a bad GTA clone, as they're not actually similar minus open world.

Who else is planning on picking it up

i'm definitely interested, it looks much better then all the other lego games because it's it's own thing instead of being based off of this or that movie, looks like the freedom it gave them paid off, i'd also check out Lego city: the chase begins which is coming out for 3ds later this year i think which is an origin story of the main character from undercover

first impressions

Charming game so far
Graphics are pretty (lego style is nice)
The intro is familiar, and therefore funnier.
Load times are harsh

how long is is the loading? how often do you have to load (seeing as it is open world)

I feel like it's rough 1 min - 1 min 30 seconds... the game makes fun of load times which would be cute if it wasn't for the frequency that it has them.

Just drivin around and such has no load times, but missions spark load times and occasionally events outside of missions cause them too. In about 30ish minutes of playing I would say I saw a progress bar maybe 6 times?

E: It depends how much you hate load times, I can see past them because there is a lot in the game, but this is where the Wii U could seriously use an HDD built in to load some of the game and reduce load times (see PS3)

If it's available, grab it.

The loads seem to become less frequent as you play more, but still there. Loads of fun, tons of humor
