An apparent image of a redesigned Wii U tablet surfaced over the weekend.
The pic was posted on Twitter (since removed) by a tester at TT Games. In his tweet, @MATTYBOOSH wrote, “Nintendo fanboys alert: look what we have at work!”
If the image is, in fact, genuine, the most interesting bits of the pic would include:
• The iterated analog stick design. The inputs are now now convex like the Wii nunchuk instead of concave like the 3DS' circle pad, and stick out a bit more.
• The Home button would now seem to have some lights surrounding it, like that seen on an Xbox 360 controller.
• There are a couple of… buttons? … that have appeared to the left of the power button and below the d-pad.
• The plus and minus buttons now sit on the right side of the tablet.
• The Wii U logo now appears on the bottom left of the tablet.
