wii2hdmi thing for my new hd tv.... played the wii and its in wide screen and the textures arent smooth? is that normal?

the wii doesnt do hd...

this just allows it to play on an hd tv

yeah all im saying is that component cable wouldnt change anything

also you havent posted what type of tv you're using, kinda hard to give any advice w/o that

its not, some tv arent compatible with component, or computer monitor

chances are if you plug in the yellow video cable to the top one of the five inputs it will function as video...these hybrid ports have been showing up on lots of tvs as of now. compatible with component and composite
