so i just recently bought a super nintendo and i got third party cords for the snes. when i plugged everything into the tv and turn it on, i can hear the game with some white noise in the background but the screen is black. you guys have any idea what may be the problem?

have you tried switching off and switching it back on?

yeah and also resetting it. im not sure if its the game, console, or the cords. im reallybummed out because i reallly wanted to play super mario.

have you tried blowing in the cartridge, playing with the cords while they were plugged in

atm it seems like the red or white cable is working, but the other 2 arent

yeah, i believe it might be the AV cable im using. its a third party cord so im not sure if thats the problem or not.

if you can hear the game but you can't see it then it's most likely a problem with the AV connection

When the SNES or the cartridge is wrong you either get no signal at al or scrambled graphics... at least that's my experience after having 3 SNESs die :(

yeah thats why im thinking only one or two cable are working

thing is tho, with my tv, if i touch the video cable, the screen can go black, then if i just play with it a little, it goes back to the game

might be something similar to that


but id say, its probably the 3rd party cord
