got a wii for $60 bucks used at a pawn shop. Really beat up though (doesnt matter to me)


Soft modded it (got homebrew channel, etc.). It's SICK. Got all my roms going. Going to "buy" skyward sword and play that. Going to be "buying" a shit tonne of games in next couple days.



I strongly recomend soft modding your wii. Or buying a cheap ass old one and modding it. I can help in any way.


Soft modding is 100% legal, its like jailbreaking an iphone. It's only illegal to download games online...i of course, will not be doing that..

hi im also trying to softmod my wii.. but ran into some problems... i need to update the system first
and it wont update =( i even tryed manuel update but that dosent work either.. if u think u can help me lmk pls^^
btw how great is skyward sword? my friend got it yesterday and i just cant w8 to try it =) been a zelda fan for years..
also do u run n64 roms? i would love to get n64 goldeneye on my wii =) peace out, Haj

Although some roms arn't as good as others, might be the emulator im using. But so far only one hasn't worked for me (yoshi's story). Could be a bad rom though

Can run ps1, n64, gameboy, game boy advance, snes, nes, sega genesis, etc. etc. Tonnes of games

plus some decent third party apps out there



Plus you can play any gamecube/wii game off of a hard drive (only the older models support burned wii/gamecube games on discs)

might i ask how to go about this soft modding?

I can link you the guide i used, super easy to do. Really just downloading the firmware onto an sd card.
