Hey, i sold my n64 and d/led all my old games for emulator. Anyways, does anyone know of a good controller to use with it?
Since n64's controller is abit weird with the button layout. I was useing xbox 360 controller for awhile, but i think i need a controller that has
6 buttons instead of 4 to feel abit better.
Post up a good controller if you know of any, that has 6 buttons. Im talking about the buttons on the right side. Like on xbox360/ps3 controllers
they only have 4 buttons on the right side for your right thumb.

Use any control that allows button customization and just find out what works best for your.


I use my ps3 controller on PC and find it is really solid.

I love the N64 controller. I would rather use that than the xbox or ps3 controllers.....

I'd rather use the gamecube or old nes cont. if I had to choose between nin conts.
I like xbox and ps3 conts.
I can play bout any but I hate the wiimote the most.

You do realize the thumb sticks were guarantee'd to break sooner or later (mainly because a lot of the n64 games abused them)


That and you had to use the c pad to aim (which was annoying). Plus the left handle was NEVER used



All in all, n64 controller was the worst designed controller ever compared to it's compition

Ps1 dual shock was one of the sexiest and well designed controlers for being so damn old. Soo good that sony has stuck with the design for 3 gaming consoles straight

i could be wrong but didnt they add joysticks when they realised the 64 controllers had one

dont get me wrong though the dual shock was great but the original ps1 controller didnt have sticks and looked weird
