Hey guys,

I've been thinking about buying a Wii for a while now, as there are quite a few games I would love to play that are only available on the Wii, however
I'm not too fond of the whole motion control thing. It's not like I totally hate it, but I prefer playing my games with a conventional controller (There might be some exceptions).
..
So here is my question: Do you guys think that the purchase might be worth it even though I'm not the biggest fan of motion control?

depends on what game you want to play, most of the great game on the wii requires little to no motion control (only i can think that requires it is skyward sword and metroid prime, which are both great game and the motion control are really tight for both)

id say its worth it, especially since its so cheap now anyway (like 100$ iirc)

I don't have one, but I've played a lot on my brother's. I don't like the controller either, but like Doyek says, it's not really important. I recommend you buy it, it's a great console even though the controller is annoying for some of us.

the wiimote is fine, its what the devs do with it thats annoying
just like the touch screen on the 3ds/ds can be, or the kinect, or the move

when they decide to use it just because they can, it usually turns out badly

thanks for the advice everyone :)

Seems like I'm going to get one in the next couple of weeks - can't wait to play games like Zelda SS, Mario Galaxy 1/2, Xenoblade Chronicles etc. :)
I guess I'll just get used to the motion controle aspect if it is needed in some of those games... they seem to be good in Zelda SS anyway from what I've heard.

Again, thanks for all the quick replies.
