http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/87529/nintendo-watching-europe-closely-for-anticipated-wii-games-success/Nintendo upset a lot of fans recently when announcing that the highly anticipated Wii games The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, and Xenoblade Chronicles were not being given a North American release. Despite critical acclaim, release dates for European countries, and a huge fan campaign dubbed "Operation Rainfall", Nintendo has refused to further comment on the prospect of North American releases for these games.
Until now. According to a Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo is watching Europe's response to these games very closely.
"We will be watching very closely what happens in Europe," said Fils-Aime, in a statement to IGN. "Certainly if there are business opportunities and positive consumer uptake from some of those titles, that will be great data for us to consider as we look at what to do with these titles."
Hopefully these highly anticipated Wii titles find an audience in Europe, because if they don't, Nintendo may never release them in America. Considering that the Wii is starved for titles this year (with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Kirby Returns to Dreamland being the Wii's only upcoming high-profile releases this year), it's hard imagining these games wouldn't find an audience in North America.
