My GF just bought a NDSIXL in around March or so of this year, she was carrying it somewhere and it slipped out of her hands, fell to the street and seemed to be fine. She is able to use it and it still turns on and will charge etc etc. But if you bump it while you're playing it or move it from left to right really fast (think laying in bed and then holding the DSI and trying to shift your body weight to sit up), it'll turn off. Does anyone know a way to possibly fix that or check what is wrong with it? Is there any way we can contact Nintendo or someone to get it fixed or have it replaced? I don't think she purchased any extra warranty through best buy for it.

Any and all help is appreciated it.

Since March of this year so going on 5 months?

I don't know much about handhelds and I have never heard of anything like that happening to a system like that. Like for instance, she was laying in bed playing and I like, jumped/flopped on to it right next to her, and me doing so obviously caused her to move and that caused the DSIXL to turn off.

Other then shipping do you think they will charge anything for repairs?

Edit: Another thing to add, when she bought the DSI she also got a Nintendo DS big fucking hard shell case thing that has a push button lock. The DSI was in that thing when she dropped it and when it hit the ground (she was holding it at waste level), the thing shot open and thus shot the DSI out of it.

if shes only had for 5 months im guessing it still under its year warranty. try calling nintendo like doyek said but dont tell them you dropped it.... cause idk if warranty covers that kind of dmg... just tell them it randomly shuts off.

Ok will do, thank you. I didn't know if it came with any warranty or not so that's cool.

all of these modern consoles/handhelds from wii to xbox 360 come with a 1 year warranty assuming you bought it brand new from a retail store. so i think you should be alright, but like i said, im not 100% sure what it covers so i wouldnt tell them i dropped it...

any noticeable damage on it? lol
