try zsnes, cant really answer your problem, but its prolly a problem with your comp and not with the emulator (been using snes9x for as long as i can remember and it never froze)

I never had problems with snes9X, maybe the ROM you downloaded is corrupt?... sometimes it's just a matter of changing emulator when things like these happen, but if the problem continues there's probably an issue with the rom you downloaded and you are going to have to download a new one.

actually didnt think about this, but its probably that, since snes9x is one of the best snes emulator with zsnes, so theres no reason for it to freeze

just open the save file when you have loaded the new rom in snes9x

yeah, try that, see if it works. All you have to do is use the emulators auto save (F1 or shift+1) I think it was, and then a save file will be created... I think it will load even if you change ROM as long as you keep the file's name the same.

dunno if its going to work since its rom prolly is corrupted, so if he gets a rom that actually works, it wont be the same

but thats only my guess, it might work
