i can post to jsp from my dsi xl right now, but i can't connect to the internet with pokemon white/heartgold to trade/get my victini/whatnot :<<<<<<

didn't want to make a new topic for my spam, so here's the deal:

apparently, i can use the nintendo wfc connection (or smth like that) with my pokemon white (i could receive my liberty pass, caught victini, even put in a pokemon for GTS trade), but it isn't working with my heartgold...
i tried using GTS trade, but i couldn't connect to the nintendo wfc thingy, the same (or at least seemingly) that i used in white.

it looks as if the heartgold version could only use connections with WEP security key, whereas white could deal with other kinda security as well (in my dsi system settings, i had to set up my connection in the advanced settings, because when i tried just looking for an access point, it had the grey padlock icon, y'know)

is this the case, or there's some other reason why my white works online but my heartgold does not?
and if so, could you guys suggest some kinda solution?

pretty sure hg/ss has security compatibility problem that have been fixed in b/w

(not really problem, more like a choice from nintendo i guess)

so just change ur router security to something else and it should be fine

more like i'm gonna look for some free public access point when i'm in the capitol in my flat (i'm in my mum's house right now and the router here and the connection in general were set up by the company she works for and we aren't really supposed to fuck around with it :/)

u should be allowed to play around with ur router, but not ur modem, and its not really fucking with it, its just changing the security setting no big deal
