Need your help JSP!

The annoying person that is the rage candy bar seller wont let me past him!
I couldn't beat the 6th gym so i went to the 7th instead (i'm awesome like that)
i caught the shiny gyarados and cleared the rocket lair, killed the 7th gym than the 6th
and i still cant get past that man!
Shoot him or something?

What do i do!

hes just raged from all that candy.
probably got diabetes.
just wait for him to die of that, and you should be able to get past him.

i cant tell if thats what you need help with exactly as ive yet to get gold silver remakes, and its been years since i played the originals. but hopefully it works.
what gym is mahogany?

Finish the lake of rage, Mahogony Rocket hideout, beat the gym, and then stop the hostile takeover at the radio tower.
