I'm a beginner and I recently upgraded my weapon from a Sword to a Great Sword. The damage is much more but I now lack a shield and my attacks are far more slower than it was when using a Sword, any opinions on what I should go with?

longsword mainly for legs and tail
hammer for head = knockouts

Do KO's count as kills?

na it's simular to blind bombs

Switch axe or Sword+ shield.

After upgrading the S&S setups. you can get like 200 dmg + 300 elem.

Nice, I went back to the S&S combo and upgraded. Its much btr imo that that big slow Iron Sword.

i use a switch axe because ill take the slower heaver hits over the s&s.
my sa does 740 dmg plus when i knock the monsters over i switch to the sword and do heavy dmg, its a very good wepon for more experienced players.

also hammers are second best wepon.

I saw that Great Swords can block but when I get 4-5 spawns around me I'm relly not liking the slower weps. Also do you guys reccomend completing Sub Quests? Is there a better reward?
