i didnt try him but my friend said he was more balanced

that must be a newer version then. i played gecko like.. 7-8 months ago when it was first came out and mk was ridiculous haha.

That's Brawl+, not Gecko.
Gecko just loads whatever codes are on the SD card, and he had Brawl+ on it.
