Ok, I was looking at making a Sandstorm team in the Underused Tier, with Hippopotas as the Lead. It seemed like a kinda fun idea that could work as a competitive team aswell. However, I am at a slight dilemna.

I don't and not often, if ever, play in UU, so I don't really know what I should be focusing on when it comes to makeing the team. I want the team to be balanced, with say, the Lead that I mentioned, 2 defensive pokes (walls or bulky), 1 revenge killer, and 2 main sweepers ( 1 setup maybe, and 1 CB, or 2 setup ones).

Seeing I don't play UU, I don't know nescessarily what Pokes I should be covering as threats, and what attacking-types I should be concentrating on, when it comes to them being resisted by other threats. I've had like 3-4 Defensive pokes in my head as ones that would cover me, but I can't really put them all in one team, as it would be balanced. I would also like maybe either Registeel or Regirock in it, seeing as I really like to use them.

So, any ideas and opinions would be great, even on things that I may not have mentioned but u may feel is what I should maybe concern myself with, and I'll leave it at that

yeah true, I also noticed though Gabite doesn't learn SD like Chomp does lame.

Ok I made a team now on Shoddy, 3 wins out of 3 vs other UU teams.

Team is as follows:
Lead Hippopotas
Defensive Gligar
Tank Registeel
Support Gardevoir
Wall Breaking Nidoking
Sub/Swords Dance Cacturne

I don't think I've used Gligar once, the rest are ok, Registeel is doing quite well, and I managed to sweep a whole team with Cacturne, a guy sent in Dunsparce and thanks to Sand Veil and Brightpowder, he missed 3 Body Slams, I got 3 SDs, and GG. Nidoking has been useful at beating certain threats.

Have you considered Regirock somewhere on there? A Curse RestTalk one in Sandstorm would be pretty beast.

+ I dunno what I should do when I have Hippo vs Roserade, it's either he attacks me or sleeps me, so I dunno, I have him with Focus Sash atm and I haven't faced one yet, opinions?

Throw a Lum Berry on Registeel and always switch him in to Roserade would be your best bet. (Assuming he has Ice Punch.)

You could always just throw Regirock over Gligar.
